Mellissa Hayon is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She has been employed as the Senior Clinical Social Worker and Operations Supervisor at Sokolove Law, LLC since June 2007. Before joining Sokolove Law, LLC, Mellissa has been working in the social work field since 1994 and at a Master's Level since 1999. She has been a member of the National Association of Social Workers since 1999. Over the last fifteen years, Mellissa has worked with diverse populations including the chronically mentally ill, homeless, substance users, families, those afflicted with dementia, HIV/AIDS, caretakers, veterans, and multiple medical diagnoses. She has worked in multiple clinical settings in both California and Massachusetts. Her focus has been on education, support and coordination of care. She has helped many victims and their loved ones find their way to social services and community support. At Gambro Healthcare in Daly City, CA, she not only provided counseling and referrals for patients and their families — she also helped them identify and obtain financial assistance. At Fallon Clinic in Leominster, MA, she identified and coordinated resources for patients and families, plus served as a patient advocate within the clinic and out in the community. Here at Sokolove Law, LLC, she oversees our online community (www.MesoRC.com) serving mesothelioma patients and their families. With the help of the Mesothelioma Resource Center, Mellissa interacts directly with victims and loved ones through e-mail, the discussion board, and the blog. She's at the heart of our client services team and will ensure that Sokolove offers you all the knowledge and sensitivity you need and deserve.
